MINX FASHION SHOW
FUNDRAISER
Minx Fashion Shoppe, Hosted a Fashion Show and Breast Cancer Fund
Raiser, benefiting a Local Charity, Breast Cancer Angels, on March 31st
at the GasLamp Restaurant in Long Beach.
Attendance at the show was terrific and over $5000 was raised for Breast
Cancer Angels. Days after the show, founder of this Charity, Faye
Dietiker, reported, "People are still calling me to say what a GREAT
TIME they had at the event."
The Fashion show was also the Finale for the MINX Model Search Contest
where audience members voted for their favorite models during the show.
The winning Model was Ellie Rubio, a Realtor from Lakewood, CA. Minx
Fashion Shoppe targets Modern Looks for Real Women, so the Model
contestants ranged ranged from Size 4 to size 22, ages 19 to 41. The
Second Place Model was Anna Ward and Third Place was Rachel Johnson,
both from Long Beach.
"Every one of the Models looked so radiant and I think it was a great
boost of confidence for them to have hundreds of women cheering them
on." said owner Jacqueline Britton. Salon Canvass from Huntington Beach
donated spectacular hair and make up services for the contestants.

2006 Oscar Night Party and
Fundraiser
Cathy Andrew &
Carrie Nordheim's 8th Annual Oscar Party was held on March 5th at Old Ranch
Country Club in Seal Beach. The theme was "Walk the Red Carpet, Johnny
Cash Style".
There were
prizes given for the best costume, best June Carter Cash look alike, best theme
table (Wedding Crashers won) and many more. One of the highlights was Annelore
Stolzenburg and her daughter Kristina performing a duet from "The Producers".
There were also 80 incredible raffle prizes, Special thanks to all of the
sponsors and donors and to Cathy and Carrie and their husbands and friends, they
did an incredible job!
2005 CHRISTMAS LUNCHEON &
BOUTIQUE
The Breast
Cancer Angels Christmas Luncheon & Boutique was held on December5th at Old Ranch
Country Club in Seal Beach.
There were 12
boutique vendors with great gifts at good prices so we all did a lot of
Christmas shopping. The raffle and silent auction prizes were put together by
Lori Franklin and were incredible!
If you look
closely at the pictures you will see our special guest "Frank Sinatra" he was
wonderful! Several of the women got up and danced and everyone seemed to really
enjoy the day. Thank you to all who donated and attended and to the volunteers
who sold so many raffle tickets. This event netted $17,800 for our women in
treatment!
